Over the past few months, the Athletes for Animals team has been busy with some incredible collaborative efforts.
We were able to launch a billboard campaign in East St. Louis by partnering with Gateway Pet Guardians and Carol House Quick Fix Clinic. We know this effort will help increase awareness in the area regarding responsible pet ownership and to further promote spaying and neutering to reduce the number of pets running at large. We were thankful that Athlete Ambassador James Laurinaitis of the St. Louis Rams and right wing enforcer Ryan Reaves of the St. Louis Blues donated their time earlier this spring to help with the photo shoot and pose with the adoptable dogs that were featured on the billboards. You can see the behind the scenes video filmed by the St. Louis Rams by clicking here. A generous thank you to Carol House Furniture for sponsoring this campaign impacting the lives of countless animals. You can see more photos from the ribbon cutting ceremony here.
We have had many requests for A4A swag, so a few weeks ago we decided to partner with the incredible Project Blue Collar and began selling our t-shirts online. In addition to your purchase, we also want you to check out their PBC gear because as a partner of their rescue network 20% of your purchase will be donated to Athletes for Animals and together we can all support the underdog! The bright blue silicone collars give us a way to show our rescue pride and identify with others in the community, while we share the incredible stories that so many adopted animals have.
We are just a month away from the annual Trails for Tails, a 5k or 1 mile fun walk, put on by Five Acres Animal Shelter, at the Frontier Park in St. Charles, Missouri. This year Athletes for Animals has formed a team and we hope you will consider joining us. The registration fee is just $25, but we’re asking that you ask your friends and family to support you! If your pledges reach over $50 you will receive this awesome t-shirt that was generously designed and donated by Johnny Macs. We want our A4A team to have a large presence, so please share and encourage others to join us! The morning of the race, Sunday September 7th, we will meet for a team photo and kick off the run/walk together, with Founder David Backes leading the way, in honor of homeless pets! Here is the link to registration and if you should have any questions, please don’t hesitate to contact us.
As always, be sure to support the generous companies that are doing their part to help animals across the nation. Every month we know many dogs look forward to receiving their BarkBox, so if you haven’t signed up yet-don’t forget to use code A4ABBX1 which will give you 10% off your purchase and also $15 towards our organization!
