A4A is an educator, networker and fundraiser to help support companion animals. By utilizing resources from Adopt-A-Pet.com, the nation’s largest non-profit pet-related search engine, we are able to help match our Athlete Ambassadors with a variety of local animal shelters and rescue groups within their cities. Across the country, athletes volunteer with these established organizations to help them with public events, fundraisers, and more.
We also believe there is great power in education. Our Athlete Ambassadors broadcast the messages of pet adoption, the benefits of spaying/ neutering and responsible pet ownership. Getting accurate information to the public, so they can make informed decisions regarding their animals, will lead us to a manageable pet population.
In addition, our athletes can have a great impact on younger generations by setting good examples and sharing the facts, so these future decision makers will become more compassionate and humane when caring for companion animals.
Although grants and monetary donations are not necessary to create positive change, financial support of Athletes for Animals will help us multiply the effect we can have on the issues.
All of the proceeds donated to A4A are granted to organizations and charities that are doing an outstanding job applying best animal welfare practices.
